笔记本屏幕只能部分显示,是硬件原因还是软件原因?

本人的一台旧HP520,开始用的是默认的xfce4系统,使用一段时间后,从开机自检画面开始,就出现了屏幕只是一部分显示的情况(见下图),但是有时候却是正常显示的。
我开始以为是硬件老化,显卡哪个地方出了问题。可当我把xfce4桌面卸载之后,再启动时就正常了。同时也看到一篇如果xorg分辨率设置不正常有损硬件的文章,就想是不是哪个配置出了问题。
使用一段时间后,又安装上xmonad桌面管理器,屏幕显示不全的情况又出现了,也是不定期的。
我想问一下,这是软件问题还是硬件问题呀?应该如何排查?

我想应该是分辨率的问题,笔记本的显示器分辨率不是1024x768的,但是又找不到1280x的那个选项,还望大虾解惑。
能够解释一会好,一会不好的原因是最好的了: )

第一个图我不知道有哪里不正常。后边的图也没看到明显不正常的地方。
你是指图形界面的时候,整个桌面的范围要比你的屏幕大吗?还是只是分辨率不是最佳?
xrandr 的输出给一下。

第一个图是用scrot截的,看着是正常的,但是相对与我的笔记本屏幕,只是在左上角显示,右边有很大一片空白。

这样的啊,我从没有见过呢。有可能有显示驱动、内核有关。近期升级过内核吗?可以试试降级。

谢谢您的关注,没有升级过内核,不过xmonad是自己通过cabal编译的,编译的时候生成的是比系统X低的一个版本,也不了解其中的机理。?
如果我想排查问题所在,能不能大概指条路线呢?要看内核,xorg,等等?现在这个半吊子状态自己很不满意,想深入学习,不知道您有没有什么建议。

你这问题挺奇怪的,我也没什么好的思路。
既然是编译时 xorg 的版本不同,那就再编译一个新的试试?不过 xfce4 也出现这种问题也不好解释。
去看看日志里有没有什么线索,journalctl 的以及 /var/log/Xorg.0.log 等。

不好意思哈,没有找到太好的debian中文社区,认准依云大侠啦:)

不同发行版背后有什么故事吗:-)debian就是慢,vim 8.2用不上官方的,自己编译各种语言支持太繁琐。

另外,我想把大侠的cjk内核用到debian上,不知道要做些什么工作。

至少软件的版本就不一样。你用的 4.19 内核,也没有 5.4 以来一大堆的毛病。
那个内核,你自己编译打包就好了。

哪里有 diff 文件,那只是个不完整的截图啊。
Arch Linux 的软件一般都是最新稳定版。所以现在已经 5.4.15 了。
